Landscapes

I also like to photograph landscapes, mainly for framing and selling. I have built up quite a collection over the years and here is just a small sample from this collection.

home-grown

home-grown is a photographic book which gives the reader an insight into the farming situation in Ireland today. This work is based around a particular farm on the Isle of Doagh on the Inishowen Peninsula in North West Donegal. The farmer has diversified his farm into a tourist attraction: Doagh Isle Famine Village and Visitor Centre. This centre depicts scenes from the Great Famine which took place in Ireland between 1845 to 1850, connecting what happened in Ireland then with what is happening in third world countries today. This book gives the reader a clear perception into how the farming crisis may evolve; leaving many farmers with an uncertain future, forcing them into diversifying their farms in order to earn a sufficient income.
